Informational Interviews
As part of the research process I met with several librarians and GPO staff members to learn more about the structure of the Federal Depository Library Program and to understand the distribution of government documents within the University of Washington Libraries.
This section includes notes and information gained from these interviews which I reported in my weekly memos and used as research in constructing the culminating documents of this project; a review of the University of Washington Collections and a process guide for evaluating government documents collections at large universities.
In the course of the DFW I spoke with many people. Details from four interviews are available on this website:
Amy Entze (Catologer at UW)
Cass Hartnett (Government Documents Librarian at UW)
FDLP Coordinators working directly with documents librarians at FDLs across the US
Mel DeSart (Head Librarian, Engineering Library)
Peggy Jarrett (Depository Librarian, Gallagher Law Library)
